Numerical Solution

Privacy Policy

Application: NumericalSolution  ·  Last updated: 3 October 2026  ·  Effective: 3 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how NumericalSolution (the “Application”) handles information when you sign in with your Google Account. The Application is operated by Numerical Solution, publisher of numericalsolution.com and numericalsolution.dk (the “Operator”, “we”, “us”).

Summary: The Application uses Google Sign-In only to authenticate you. It requests the openid, email and profile scopes. It does not request access to Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts or any other Google user content. We do not store your Google account data on our servers, we do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.

1. Information we access

When you choose to sign in with Google, Google provides the Application with a limited set of profile information associated with your Google Account:

Google OAuth scope Data received Why it is needed
openid Your unique Google account identifier (subject identifier). To recognise you as a returning user and to establish an authenticated session.
email Your email address and whether Google has verified it. To identify your account and, where you have asked for it, to send service-related messages.
profile Your name, profile picture URL and locale, as published by Google. To display who is signed in within the Application interface.

The Application requests no other scopes. It has no access to the content of your Gmail mailbox, your Google Drive files, your Calendar, your Contacts, or any other Google service data.

2. How we use the information

The information listed above is used for one purpose only: to authenticate you and to operate the signed-in features of the Application. Specifically, we use it to:

We do not use this information for advertising or marketing, for building advertising profiles, for creditworthiness or lending decisions, or to train generalised artificial intelligence or machine learning models. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not transfer it for monetary or other valuable consideration.

3. Storage and retention

We do not persist your Google account data on our servers. Your profile information and the OAuth token issued by Google are held only for the duration of your session — in the memory of the Application and in your browser or device local session storage — and are processed in order to keep you signed in.

Because no copy is retained, there is nothing for us to delete after the session ends. See section 6 for how to revoke the Application's access to your Google Account at any time.

4. Sharing and disclosure

We do not share, transfer, sell, rent or otherwise disclose information obtained through Google Sign-In to third parties, with the following narrow exceptions:

5. Limited Use disclosure for Google user data

NumericalSolution's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

In concrete terms, this means that data obtained through Google APIs is used only to provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent in the Application's user interface; is not transferred to others except as necessary to provide or improve those features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets with user notice and consent; is not used or transferred for serving advertisements; and is not read by humans unless we have your explicit consent for specific messages, it is necessary for security purposes such as investigating abuse, it is required to comply with applicable law, or the data has been aggregated and anonymised for internal operations.

6. Your choices and rights

Revoking access

You can withdraw the Application's access to your Google Account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revocation takes effect immediately and prevents any further sign-in until you grant access again.

Signing out

Signing out of the Application ends the session and discards the session data described in section 3.

Data protection rights

If you are located in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation grants you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. In Denmark, where the Operator is established, the supervisory authority is Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.dk). Because we retain no copy of your Google account data once your session ends, requests of this kind are satisfied by revoking access as described above; you may nonetheless contact us using the details in section 10 and we will respond within one month.

Legal basis for processing

Where the GDPR applies, our legal basis for processing the data in section 1 is your consent, given when you choose to sign in with Google (Article 6(1)(a)), and our legitimate interest in keeping the Application secure (Article 6(1)(f)).

7. Cookies and similar technologies

The Application uses only the storage strictly necessary to keep you signed in during a session — a session cookie or an equivalent entry in browser local or session storage. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking technologies, or third-party analytics or advertising services in the signed-in area of the Application.

8. Security

All communication with the Application and with Google's authentication endpoints takes place over HTTPS/TLS. Authentication is delegated to Google: the Application never sees, receives or handles your Google password. Because we hold no persistent copy of your Google account data, the amount of data exposed by any compromise of our infrastructure is correspondingly limited. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Application is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has used the Application, contact us and we will act on it.

10. Contact

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Application or in applicable law. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always shows the current version. Material changes that affect how Google user data is handled will be reflected here before they take effect, and the revised policy will remain available at this same address: https://numericalsolution.com/privacy.html.
